Community/Social Activities
Apart from my academic responsibilites, I have also been performing following duties since my joing date on April, 2013 at my current university:
- I am also actively involved in community service like to provide smart solution to PASAR MALAM stalls with a HEJIM Grant from UKM (Grant Code:KOMUNITI 2013-012), where they will replace diesel running generators to Solar Panel systems to for cleaner environment.
- I am also actively involved to establish research collaboration and network with local university (e.g. University of Malaya, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Universiti Sains Malaysia etc.), Japanese Universities (e.g. National Institute for Materials Science, Osaka University, Tohoku university, Kanazawa University, Hyogo University, Kyuhu University, Ozaki National Research Institute etc.), USA (North Carolina State University), Australia ( Melbourn University, UNSW) and many other international universities around the world which brings many benefits like research collaboration, joint funding etc.
- I have also been working as external examiner for MSc and PhD thesis in both local and international universities.
- I am also an regular reviewer of American Chemical Society( ACS), Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, AIP journals and some Internationals conference as well (please see attached reviewed list).
- I have been actively participating in LRGS, TRGS and many other national and international Grant application and initiating research collaboration among Malaysian Universities. In the last cycle, I applied one LRGS and one TRGS, Besides my individual FRGS proposals have been accepted. There are many successes here (Please see attached grant list).
- I have established a laboratory on Organic Photovoltaic materials under Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI), where many students under my supervision are working on 3rd and 4th generation solar cells.
